Hello People of the Earth!
I've just bought a shock off e-skip and as far as I can gather all I need to do to fit it is find the lost treasure of Seirra mardray, the da vinci code and an Enigma machine....Is that right???? But seriously....cutting a hole in the battery compartment for the 'piggy-back'. Hopefully dog-bones and 'eye-to-eye' should be close enough..... ![]() But what about settings?. Low and High speed compression damping. Really! ![]() It's like having butter flavoured marg.....I can't believe it's not Ohlins! So what I'm asking basically is..... What is the best setup for GSXR600 K6 rear shock on K3 sv650..nakid? but also as an aside.... Do we really need hi and low speed damping on the road....?? Last edited by Raf; 10-09-07 at 09:48 AM. I've just bought one too mate and like buggery can I make it fit.
I'm going to remove the entire rear subframe to have another go but as far as I could see the substantially wider spring was going to cause a problem, and the adjuster knob on the GSXR shock looked like it was going to foul on the subframe! And from my visualisations the battery box trimming is going to be pretty deep. Fingers and toes all crossed ![]() |

Good News...It went straight in!!
Using the lower bolt that came with the shock. No mods, no trimmimg of anything. Fits perfectly. Does improve matters some way too.. ![]() Mine is a K3 pointy though.. Let us know how you get on! |

well i hope the GSXR 1000 shock with piggy back goes in as easy on my K3 ponty as well then???
