Glad you are ok...remember...its easier to fix the bike than fix you!

Hope you get it sorted...

Damn, bad news friend, pleased you're OK.

I managed to remove the foot lever from mine the other day - what do you do if this happens while you're out?

How can you change up/down? Anyone?

Use the stalk to kick it into a gear that will allow you to pull away, but also to ride at a reasonable speed (2nd or 3rd) and keep it in that gear. That'll at least get you home!

Sorry to hear about your off!

Aye, I did 150 miles in third once after some ditchfinding on an SV Ecosse rideout Clutch and front brake are more troublesome, which is why I've got spares taped inside my fairing. If you can't be good, at least know you're bad

Hope you get it back together quickly and painlessly. SVs are tough little buggers.

Ok got back from the ride out now.
The fall was minor and occured on a sharp S bend in the dark, luckily I dropped the bike on a muddy embankment. As i've said above there is only the scratches and the gear lever gone. Thanks to guys/girls for making a superb gear lever from Melody's spare clutch lever and getting me back on the road.
Over all the day was superb and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
