Charging problem - tell me how to hotwire an SV.
My 02 sv has a charging problem, got picked up by van, home, to a new house, put the only key somewhere, moved everything, Key lost.
I have an opportunity to do some work on it, and need to get past the ignition, I have the funny torx bit, can get at all the wiring, can anyone clue me up to a quick Hotwire to jump start it, to test the charging out and order my locks and I suspect, a reg/rec.? |

Guy from liverpool asks how to hotwire an SV... you've got no chance!
I'd just replace lock, since you need one anyway...

Re: Not sure how to put this, but...
When I lost the keys to my old CBR400 I just took the ignition off, took it to a locksmith that does vehicle locks and they split the ignition, cut me two new keys and gave me intact ignition back for less than 24quid.
It is your best bet. Just get the yellow pages...or yell.com. |

Only problem was, a few days later, I found the original key, along with a radiator bleeding key and a bowl from the kitchen under a tree in the back garden!!! Don't ask... Last edited by gruntygiggles; 01-05-12 at 11:35 PM. |
