There's an article in this month's Bike Magazine about owning multiple bikes. Whilst it might seem great having a dozen bikes to choose from, keeping them running properly and staying on top of MOT's etc can be a headache.

He's just a hoarder of things, no interest in using them, just buys or acquires things, for the sake of having it

Plenty of other people with similar mental health issues

This is why I restrict myself to one bike, I spend enough time with the SV (which never needs anything other than routine maintenance) ... if I had more bikes I'd never be out of the garage

I find 3 bikes on the road at one time is my limit, it definitely gets so I take one out just because it hasn't been run for a while, which isn't the ideal reason to have them. Two would be preferable really.
