Ideally local(ish) to me so I can come collect it. Needs to be a runner so it can be pretty much swapped for current engine and ridden.
Don't intend to spend a fortune, but let me know what you got as I'll stretch the budget if it's a good 'un. Jase |

Tempting as that one of yours has all fancy cam action doesn't it? It'll cost a mint for sending though wouldn't it? Gutted.

I've replaced the cams so I can't sell them.
Don't know how much to send the engine to you. If you still want it I can look it up for you. How much does an engine weigh?? |

Yeah if you don't mind that'd be helpful. As for the weight, I know not. Guessing it's a fair amount though.
Dry weight of bike is 165kg for reference. Now if you just deduct the weight of all the other parts, there you have it ![]() |

Your looking at 30-40 Kgs... if the price is of the engine is right (cheap enough) then maybe the postage will be covered...
Shop around for a good priced courier.

Just drive to Zeebrugge and pay somebody to put the engine in the boot of their car before they get on the ferry. Jase waits at Hull and collects engine, easy
![]() Just don't give in to the temptation of packing the engine with illicit pharmaceuticals. ![]() |

This is a possibbillittyy (too many characters, I know)!
But the question is, how much is the engine worth? It has more or less 70k km's. A small leak at the front cylinder (you can see it looses a wee bit of oil, but I don't know where it's comming from, not a big concerne me thinks) and I know that the coolingwaterpump has leaked once, but since then not anymore (with a new seal this most be fixed). There are no problems with the gearbox at all, the clutch still works properly and it doesn't slip. It has seen a few trackdays, but always warmed the engine enough befor kicking the gas. Ah yes, it consumes a wee bit of oil (don't know exact how much) but I think this is normale for the km's it has... Always had it's oil and filter refreshed on time. The valve clearence should be ok, but you must check befor running it (didn't check it when I replaced the cams, because I didn't have the time to). That should be it! What do you think? ![]() |
