Default The Euro Touring Season starts next week !!

Well its 22 degrees and not a cloud in the sky as I write we have already had an Aussie couple with 1200 beemer and trailor stay for 10 days (on a 5 year tour of Europe!!) and next week one of our regulars (he stayed with us 6 times last year) signals that the touring season is starting. Now is the time to start booking your euro tour for this year to ensure that you do get a nice place to stay when you depart on your valuable holiday, nothing worse than waiting till a few weeks before deaprture on a well planned break only to find that the place you really wanted to stay at is fully booked We find the serious get-somewhere guys and gals come and stay for a week or so alternating days on the beach with days on the mountain roads and sometimes just chilling here on the terraces with a cold beer or 5, whatever your dream is, now is the time to start getting your rear in gear.
If anyone wants to ask me any questions or if I can help plan a break in France simply ask! even if you dont come down here ! we are in touch with many places and have travelled around france for many years before settling down here in the south.
Dont forget it is nice to tour with a couple of friends but more often than not friend can pull out at the last moment leaving you in the lurch so always plan the ride solo and if a friend does happen to keep up their end of the promise and arrive at the ferry as well so much the better, but riding abroad solo is much easier than riding in the Uk so dont be afraid to do it. Camping may appear to be the cheapest alternatve but then you have to tote around a tent that occupies precious space why bother when you can stay at many hotels (clean sheets and hot showers) or b+b's throughout france for less than 50 euros a night. The advantage most b+b's have is they have a secure garage to keep the precious transport in at night and some like us have enough tools so that a major overhaul is not out of the question.
If anyone wants a money saving tip from me --- buy a Scott oiler, yeah i know they are hard to hide and are perhaps a bit un-cool but they really do what they say they should on the packet, save the chain and sprockets, and you will forget what a chore it is greasing the chain daily when you dont have a paddock stand, and no more lube on the rear disk ! doesnt that get the heart pumping for the first 30 minutes every day?
I look forward to seeing or hearing you all this year
