Default Naked bike front loom

I'm playing about with what appears to be the front loom off an N model... It has the same wiring blocks as mine does but only one headlight socket, and it's got a mystery white block which I think might be for the clutch lockout. But, the bike won't start even with that block bridged. Is there any significant difference between the parts, does anyone know? Everything else seems to work as normal. It's really cold out there so I got fed up of poking things with multimeters

I thought the N and S models had different front looms as in the connectors to the main loomk are different

you sure it's from an SV?

It's supposed to be from an S, but it's only got connectors for one headlight.

Can't really solve your problem, but you are describing the 'N' loom. I was rummaging through a breakers once and came across two looms, one was as described by yourself and the other was a standard 'S' loom. Sounds like you have an 'N' loom with the white block!

That was my second thought

Just going to have a quick look through some pics as i think i've got a pic of a standard S loom and a standard N loom for just this sort of occasion

Northy, IIRC, the 'N' doesn't have a sub-loom as such. It has a single loom(main) with the connectors for for headlight, pilot lightand indicators coming out at front.

The connector blocks for switch gear should also be further backwards(tehy end up underneath tank).

The only sub-loom to speak off, is the one off the clocks.

N loom

S loom

As Ben rightly says there aren't any headlight connections on the N loom

RIght, so it's some sort of modified S loom then, looks like. DD, I can see 2 bullet connectors there on your S loom, is that standard? I think that's where my mystery connector is, I'm assuming it's the clutch interlock though it's got an aftermarket connector on. And I'm also assuming it's broken somewhere, since it's just the clutch interlock causing trouble.

Could still come in useful for connectors I suppose
