In the manual it goes, 1, 6, 12, 18, 24month interval.
What happens after the 24 month service? My best guess is that it goes back to 6 month? |

I think once the warranty is up common sense takes over and you service it as required. No point in spending loads on getting someone to "inspect check bla bla" at ?60 per hour.Do it yourself and change the oil and filters regularly with the money you save.

Already am, But i'd like to follow some sort of schedule. I am an engineer so i don't see the point handing my bike to someone else to do what i'm perfectly capable of doing

i'd imagine oil every 4k and everything else as often as needed, just making sure you major service it every 15k.

As I recall the Haynes manual words it that every interval of mileage / time you have to do what is listed plus everything before it. For me this effectively means alternating major and minor services, every 4k and 8k. Just make a note of what you did last time, then look at the manual to see what should be checked this many miles / months from then.

As Jambo said. It's not governed by time alone. It's x amount of time or x amount of mileage, what ever comes first.

Common sense really, I've sort of settled in to giving it oil every 3k, oil + filter at 6k, a suspension re-greasing session every couple of months, and carb balancing when it needs it.

That is from the Haynes. Look in the service schedule from the manufacturer.
