Okay the viper can is on the bike, that is one beast of a can I must say
![]() I have noticed that on start up my bike reves sligtly higher, once warmed up the idle speed is also sligthly higher as well, probally about 1400 rpm, rather than 1200rpm. Okay is this meant to happen? If so should I adjust my idle speed so when the bike is warmed up that its is 1200 rpm? Is it doing any damage? Also is it normal for it to make a popping noise, when I ride the bike? Is it worth getting a race filter on the bike and dynoed so its matdches togther? Thx for any advice, Thunder. |

Did you turn the idle speed down to what you'd like it, yet?
If not, do that and report back. That's what I'd do, anyway. ![]() I have a K7, and I just this afternoon installed a Power Commander to go along with the beefy-sounding Leo Vince Hi-mount Ti slip-on I installed Friday night. I haven't ridden it yet because of salty roads (though I'd love to), but when I started mine, the ISC valve (auto idle speed adjuster thingy on the 2007 models) had the bike idling nice n' smooth at the usual RPM. Also, if you ain't liking any popping with the new can, go for a PAIR eliminator kit. I did this when the tank was lifted up for the installation of the other stuff, too, and this is supposed to get rid of popping. I'll find out soon enough. the popping is normal blue, it happens mostly in third gear, its down to the pair system putting a little more air in for emmissions i believe.. im getting flames out of my CCC sometimes when i up shift lol,
but your idle at 1400 will be fine, but if you want the pops take it to 34Mph in third then just shut the throttle lol, you will see ![]() |

Hey long as its all fine and doesn't hurt the bike then thats great! The popping is fine, I actually like it, but as above I didn't want any damage to occur to the bike! Yer your right its a nice can....the baffle is still nicely wrapped in its packing, me thinks it will stay there
