Default popping out of second

For some reason when I really give it some in 1st and 2nd my bike pops out of second gear - this happens after it has ingaged and I am accelerating in 2nd. VVVVV annoying

If I accelerate smoothly in 1st and then into 2nd - then give it some once in 2nd it is fine.

The SV is prone to that, you need a good firm selection in to 2nd gear. I now automaticly hold my toe up to stop it poping out, though it could be that you clutch cable and 'worm' drive need adjusting.

ah ok - It is under warranty so is going in to the garage anyway.
Is not nice though and obviously when your gunning it and it pops out the revs go mad too.

Sounds like you need some maintainence to the clutch, and maybe the chain. Do you keep the chain lubed? I get alot of fuzzled gear shifts from first to second when my chain is dirty. If you're not sire how to do clutch and chain adjustments, get someone to show you how Its something that will always need doing after some period of time, so you might aswell do it yourself

I find that my K7 pops out of second when the chain needs tightening.

Good luck trying to get your chain cleaned, oiled & adjusted under warranty
