removing the front brake caliper - figured I'd check the condition of the front brakes (loads of wear left) but I wanted to remove it as an excuse to use my new shiny torque wrentch.
I then bled the front brake. ...and then over torqued a nut so later on I'll be drilling the snapped off bit out and replacing with a new one. When my centre stand arrives (early next week) I'll be removing wheels & inner tubes. I've got loads of tools. I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial!!!!! |

Also if you use copperslip then reduce the torque, as the reduced friction in greased threads means more actual tension on the bolt. I reduce settings by 10% when greased. I have a feeling that threadlock would have similar effect before it sets.
