Default Where do I go in the NW?

Hi I have been looking for some leathers and I have been to Hein Gericke to try some on.

I really like the Alpine Stars stuff but it seems to be sized really small. I managed to get the 58 one piece and two piece suits on but they were so tight I couldnt even stand up straight. There was no way I could get a back protector in there too!

The 58 in all the Hein Gericke Stuff was fine size wise but the legs were way to long with the knees bits too low, im 5'11" so I was suprised at this.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to go in the North West where I can try a load of stuff on as a daren't order anything off the web.

It's a bit of a trek from where you are, but I got my leathers, lid & boots from J&S in Northwich. They have loads to choose from and the staff were helpful while I was there.

If you're having difficulty with the sizing you could try getting some custom made instead of off-the-peg. There's a company near here called Joyda that have a pretty good reputation locally, I haven't used them myself though.

Also try race leathers at Darwen (near Blackburn).

A few funny size friends have bought from them and quite happy

Shorrock in Preston have a surprisingly large range of gear, for a little bike shop. All the other bike shops I've been to locally seem to have much less.
