seen a few threads on here saying the connection type is "H4" - I'm assuming some cars and bikes share the same connection type? I can find a dedicated bike section on the powerbulbs website so I'm a little bit baffled ![]() Thanks in advance!

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your email. If the vehicle does use H4 then these will be suitable. Different vehicles use different bulbs. My personal recommendation would be Philips X-Treme Power - this came slightly ahead of the Osram Night Breaker in Auto Express' recent bulb test - see: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=43 We don't have any data for the SV650 but usually contributors on forums are good with their knowledge, so if they are advising H4 then this should be correct. Kind regards, Dan Power Bulbs +44 (0) 845 123 2855 ------ Seen a few other users on here saying "xxxx bulbs are the same power rating so they won't strain your switch gear or burn our your transponster energy shield"... (can't remember exactly which parts were mentioned...) Would the osrams of the ones this guy is pushing fit a k5 without putting any strain on the electrical system? Just want brighter lights without messing around too much...

the osram nightbreakers fit straight in a curvy and are H4...can't see it being any different for a pointy. I am going to get some osram silver stars for my bike, as they are half the price, and can get both bikes kitted for the price of the nightbreakers
Pmapp has silverstars in his and so does Melody

You're gonna love those Paul. Make sure you pop in the free sidelight bulbs too or the originals will look like pish (colour).
Enjoy a nice nightime ride on a country road and stick on the full beam - lovely! Garry ![]() |

Is that £22.95 per bulb? Ie you have to spend £50 odd to upgrade your bulbs?
A bit dear, innit? |

I use the phillips ones and they are great yes H4 is the correct fitting.
My phillips came with free sidelights. Both are a massive improvement on the originals. they are a bugger to fit, especially if you get them delivered to work and are too sad to wait to fit them and do it whilst wearing a double cuffed shirt and it is drizzling.........I would never do that! ![]() ![]() Last edited by krhall; 25-06-08 at 01:15 PM. |

They don't look too much different, so if you are doing it for bling then don't bother, if you are doing it for being actually able to see in the dark then these are a good upgrade to have.
Actually when off the blue sidelights do look a bit bling! |
