Hi folks,
Just finishing my front end conversion and looking to get some magnets to drive the speedo. Read several threads on here and am looking at some Neodymium magnets on Ebay, but on one of the sites it said they have a lifelong magnetism unless they are exposed to extreme heat, and quote 80c. My point is that if they are mounted on the disc rotor rivets is there a danger of them reaching this temperature? Anyone any knowledge....? Cheers, RH |

If you're worried about exceeding the Curie temperature you're best bet is to get some Alnico magnets, not quite as strong as the NdFeB's but much higher Curie temp.
