Default tales from sydney

well, its been a while, who knows if you guys remember who i am or not?

and why haven't i been online? well, i've spent the last few weeks sorting out life the universe and everything and have now decided that its time to stop fidgeting and get on with it.

in other words, i've been living on my loungeroom floor waiting for the stoner flatmate (not the good stoner type, the dodgy smelly stoner type) to move out of the room that is to be mine. therefore, no internet connection and still living out of boxes and suitcases.

he has moved out now, i have a lovely room, there are cockatoos screaming and possums having sex outside my window, and the smell of gum trees, and it is lovely being home.

as you know, i bought the 675, it has been named cynical in the grand soho tradition of naming the bike after whats on the plate (SNC91), and it is my most prized possession. i've taken my track r1 for a ride around the streets one night, and i am looking forward very much to my first track day which will be on the 24/3 when raf arrives to come and play.

i went on a very very fast ride on the weekend and it is amazing what having a new working sports bike can do to a girl through a corner.. (queue Bear's explicit reply here)

anyway, life is good and i am having so much fun being back amongst my old friends and family, the only downside is this wedding business. imagine me in a frilly dress that ISN'T BLACK! anyway, words will be had, tears will be shed, and i will be able to wear something a little bit more tasteful.

what else has been happening? most of you know i hated my job in london, i was good at it, but it wasn't what i was trained to do. my old job in australia is what i love, and i have slotted straight back in with no problems at all. (i took 12 months off to go overseas so i'm straight back into my old job)

and thats pretty much it. life goes on, the roads go on, but i am warmer than you are! but i also miss you all too. the picture that rictus made for me is sitting right above my puter and is there to remind me of my lovely friends.

so whats been happening? fill me in on stuff. rafa told me about helen and while i hadn't met her, i hope that her family and those that knew her well will get to say goodbye in their own way.

big hugs to everyone!

heheh sports bikes are great aren't they?! and you've still got a few more weeks to practice in preparation for kicking Raf's butt on the track

Hello gorgeous! I was just thinking about you the other day (Don't worry, I was fully clothed at the time) and how we hadn't heard from you in a while. Glad to hear everythings going so well and you're enjoying work a bit more than you did here.

Gossip over here: Me and Grinch are finally doing the honorable thing and coming out of the closet by having a civil ceremony to make things special between us, all of the soho massive have traded in their SV's for Ducati 1098s, KTM RC8s, ZX10s and one Honda Bros (It was decided David crashes too much to be given anything nicer) and I've been named Mayor of London.

Other than that, things are pretty much how you left them...

bah, who needs practice? i could kick rafs butt on a little sv650. he hasn't got a hope when i am on an r1.

but being on the track is going to be very different. i have the pep talk ian gave lucky just before we all went down to lydden still in my head. i remember every word. and yes it included the sage old advice, 'don't crash'. i've been doing pretty well on that too.
