I've just fitted a high level can on my curvey. Does anyone Know if you can get plates to fit on the sub frame so I can get rid of the pillion pegs?
Allso I'd like to cut off the lug that held the oe can if I do keep them, has anyone tried it? Thanks good people |

Yeah, I just lopped the mounting point off with a grinder, very easy. You don't really need plates to remove the pillion pegs, just take 'em off- it's a wee bit ugly but there's no need for any replacement part other than cosmetic reasons. You could make a cover out of plastic very easily if you don't like seeing the mountings- old DVD box would be ideal.

Thanks mate, Have to admit it would be for cosmetic reasons. I'm sure I've seen some nice little covers you can get to tidy up mountings for the pegs, just can't remember where i've seen them. If I can get an old pair of damaged pegs I could probably make them out of those I spose.
