Fork tube, or tubes, for a 99 curvy.Don't actually need the whole tube just the bit inside at the bottom that holds the damper rod in so any bent ,pitted or otherwise fit for scrap tube will do so long as the shuttle at the bottom is intact.
I knackered one of mine "investigating" removal before someone told me how to do it. Thanks |

![]() You have to grind off the waste metal holding it in at the bottom of the tube then push it out: ![]() There's a plastic bit inside that's a bit fragile but if you use a socket or tube just a bit smaller than the fork tube then you won't go near it. If you need to know anything else just let me know. thanks |

No, it's not that bit. It's not plastic it's metal, it just happens to have a plastic bit inside. I've probably confused matters by mentioning it.
I need this bit complete. It's not something that'll unscrew or drop out you'll have to physically remove from the bottom of the tube. ![]() I'll get you a better picture of one in location if that helps. |

This is the end of my good tube.Hopefully you can see the lip that's holding the shuttle in. You need to grind that of with a file / angle grinder (I used a drill with wheel) it's quite thin and only takes a few minutes.
![]() Shove it out the bottom, it might be tight but shouldn't be too difficult. I dropped a big socket inside then gave it a shake slide hammer style like when you split the forks. If you've got something long enough you could just give the socket a thump. ![]() |
