Bought my third SV yesterday!

Hey all!

I picked up my third SV650 yesterday. I've owned many motorcycles, but the SV is by far my favorite. In the past I've owned both the S and the standard SV, but the standard suits me better as I'm short.

I got an 08 charcoal gray. My hubby lowered it for me last night and put a shortened kick stand on it. Luckily we kept those from my last bike!

Bad lighting and I look like crap, but here it is:







I got a killer deal too. I had found an 07 leftover SV and agreed on a price, but called a guy that we've bought tons of bikes from to see if he could get my hubby an 08 hayabusa and find me a leftover 07 SV. He gave me a killer price on the busa, but said he couldn't find the leftover SV for me. He gave me a price on this 08 which wasn't bad, and I thought about it, but decided that the difference in the price would buy our helmets. When I called him back to tell him that, he said "what if I sell you this 08 for the same money?"

SOLD! I already had a cashier's check made out to the other dealer for the 07 and was heading out to pick it up.

I can't wait to get out there on it now! I might head to the dragon next weekend!

I can't wait to ride!

The dragon is an area of the mountains that has 318 curves in 11 miles. VERY popular for bikes and sportscars. I also have an 06 orvette which is fun there too. Here's a link:

Our garage is referred to as the "garage-mahal" by my hubby's buddies. He has a fireplace, stereo, 32" TV, couch, refrigerator, desk w/computer. We can park at least 5 cars in there. The car in the pic that has a cover on it is his buddy's 70 vette that they are doing an engine swap in.

I can't get mad at him and banish him to the garage....he'd like that too much!

Am I in the minority here being from the states? Just curious.
