Default Only get what you pay for - Cheap Bellypan

Bought a cheap bellypan off a friend that bought the wrong type, he's got a pointy.
I knew it was one of the Weiss ones off Ebay which are about ?41 delivered. I paid ?25 for this one.
Looks ok when on the bike, thought I would dry fit it before putting the top coat of paint on.

Then when you look close, it's awful. I dont know whether to leave it off, or just bite the bullet, paint it & leave it on.
The glassfibre doesnt have any give in it at all, so it is a really tight fit. To get it to this state took me over an hour and a half. The brackets that are supplied have to be cut and shaped to size and drilled to attach them onto the engine - screw it up & game over.
My advice? stick to the quality stuff, you don't have any problems then

Been to the paint shop today and the bellypan now looks like this.

Quite pleased now it's Yellow, not as good in the flesh as I rushed it a little & got a couple of runs in it, I'll be wet & drying tomorrow

No but I took it for a run yesterday & there was a TINY scorch mark, so I thought I might as well leave it.
Just got to wait for my Headlamp fairing, then I'll be happy
