Default Kenwood Stereo Wiring - Help

I just fitted a Kenwood cd in the car and its working great. But after the ignition is switched off it loses all the stations. I am told that I need to swap two wires over, but which two?
Anybody know?

One is permant live, the other is switched. Without looking at the wires I couldn't tell you which but the instructions should. Did you not fit it with a standard plug and play style connector?

IIRC its yellow and red. I had the same problem a while ago and switching them over solved it.

red and yellow unless it is a peugeot in which case, with some stereos a orange wire may require to be wired in, pm me if this is the case, and I will explain how to do this.

Most Kenwood looms have a pair of bullet connectors in the loom between the car-stereo ISO connector and the small multipin on the back of the HU itself.

They're in the yellow and red cables and are designed so you can pop the bullet connectors and reverse them so you connect red-yellow and yellow-red before the HU.

Red and yellow wires on my kenwood, I'm going to guess you are fitting this to a vauxhall as they swap the live and ignition wires around on the standard plug.

EDIT: the red and yellow wires should have a bullet connector so you can swap them around easily.

Thanks for the pointers. Its a Kenwood into an Alfa Romeo 147. I will take it out and look. Maybe a quick test on the meter to see the permanent and switched live but Im well pleased its common. I thought something was wrong at first.
Cheers
