Default Where did my puncture thread go?

Seems to have vanished Weird. Perhaps it didn't belong in the section I put it??

Anyway, to report back 2 days after doing my innovative self repair. (not going to mention what it was in this thread as that might have been why whoever deleted it got the hump? as they don't see it as a valid repair?! ).

Anyway - for those that are/were interested, 2 days later now, the tyre has only lost 1psi (was losing ~20psi/day with the original slow puncture), and to be honest, I think the 1psi could prolly down to temperature and gauge variance as I have done ‘spit tests’ and not a single bubble, so I don’t think it is losing anything!!

I have done the spit test before and after riding, so cold and hot testing, not a single bubble!

I have also speed tested it now and it held 110 fine (for legal reasons I’ll say 110KMH ).

As I said when I started this, I’ll keep a close eye on pressure/spit tests, but at day 2 I can’t see any negative/worrying signs to make me re-think!!

Oh and I intend to keep the tyre at ~38psi to minimise tyre deformation when in use

now I'm intrigued with the repair. What was it? A bit of last weeks Apple Crumble pasted into the gaping hole and left to go hard in the sun.

After taking advice and a few PM's I removed it.

And also potentially dangerous. We get alot of new riders on here, Some of them very green where it comes to stuff like this.

I have no doubt Blue is fully aware of the risks involved, but somebody new to riding might think this is a good idea and TBH if the worse happens and as a result of them following blues lead they hurt themselves, wreck their bike or potentially even worse... well it doesnt bear thinking about, especially with recent events....

Animal, vegetable or mineral

Nah, thats fair enough. I'ld probably best not talk about repairing my swing arm with an old walking stick and two bits of gardening wire then
