Default Paint Flaking?

While giving my bike a quick clean yesterday evening, I spotted something that I didn't notice when I cleaned it about a week ago, at the bottom of the front fork!

It looks like paint flaking, but I'm not 100% sure? And if anyone else has experienced this, is there anything that can be done to stop it getting worse?

the only solution is to remove the forks and repaint them......or even better powdercoat them

The forks on Liz's bike did that. We reported it to Suzuki whislst it was still in its warranty period and they replaced the fork lowers FOC.

Took a bit of persistance on our part, but they did get it done eventually, if your bike is in warranty might be worth a go ?

If its still under warranty give Suzuki a try! Other than that you have to options, one is to strip them down and polish, and the other is to strip them down and paint/powdercoat. If your Pointy is a black framed one nows your chance to paint the forks black to match, never figured out why Suzuki do not do this!
