white power shock

Anyone heard of these shocks before-if so pluses and minuses welcome

Yeah i've heard of white power before, carelesschucca from the ecosse lot had one on his curvey erm thta's about all i know really

WP shocks are one of the big hitters ... like Ohlins and Showa, they are market leaders ... I am actually a little surprised you never heard of them

Hi Mate-would it be easy enough to get the shock serviced?and if so how much would you be talking to buy one for a curvy

Yes it is no problem to get them serviced and they do do a shock for the curvy SV. As for prices and stuff, you will need to ask them

We use a WP shock on the ZX10R race bike, never had a problem with it and it works very well indeed.

yip WP are just the same sorta idea as the ohlins & maxton etc...as someone else saysits a wonder you have never hear of them before or maby its because people call them WP more than white power?

There's no such company as White Power, it's an urban myth... WP is short for Wim Peters, who founded the company. Full Travel are good, they just essentially condemned my spare shock (a WP) as it would be beyond economic repair, but they've waived the labour costs that I would have incurred, which was nice of them.

Incidentally, they still have my shock, if you send them yours for a service perhaps you can get mine for spares

That is a half truth northy

Wim Peters may have been the founder, but the shocks were marketed as White Power as they were the colour of the springs

Ah, you're right, I stand corrected... I'd read WIm Peters elsewhere say that he'd never used the name but that's pretty clearcut
