Hi peeps. can anyone tell me if the TRE are worth while getting for the suzuki sv? The write up about them sounds really good, but i dont know anyone who has fitted one to their bike. I would appreciate any feedback in regards to this. If they do work, would it have any long term effect on the engine? Cheers, Ray
ps. does anyone know what sort of resistors i need and how to do the diy version on a pointy sv?? Last edited by slydog; 25-04-08 at 11:18 AM. Reason: missed part of the question off. |

search on here, somewhere theres a link to the mod to do the same thing but without the box,
but if your not happy cutting into your own wiring the boxes are what £45 or something, youll always get rid of it on ebay, opinion on the merits of a tre on an SV vary,,,,,some people say they make a diff so people just cant tell, from what ive seen they do make a diff on the thou, but wether or not its much on the sv, well search around, theres loads of old threads on the pros and cons.... |

Not worth buying, can be done by just cutting some wires, also the difference is not noticeable when riding especially on a common low state of tune engine.

my tre arrived this morning and after the dilema whether to finish work early and come home and fit it or stay all day i decided to stick it out all day, anyway it's on now and i have to say there is a definate change. I'm not saying the bike want's to wheely everywhere but there is definatly more torque in gears 1 to 4, 5th and 6th feel the same. In all bike pulls off quiker and maybe it's just me but the gear changes feel smoother.
Worth paying 34.99 and with the new connecters which come with it it's an easy re-fit if you don't want it on. Well that's me, here's a link. ![]() www.christieautomotive.co.uk |
