Default Spiders ... Aaarrrhhhh!

Jesus these little creatures scare the living daylights out of me..

Snakes ...no problem

lizards....no problem

all other little creepy crawleys.......no problem.

But those 8 legged freaks that stare at you waiting to bite with their fangs dripping in venom sends shivers down my spine...

When i was cutting the grass by my wall last night.....about 100 of these little black things come darting out of the grass and scattered up the wall.. I fell over with shoick running from them whilst the missus sat back and laughed..

I am now forming the path of doom for these creepy things. They attack me i will be ready!

will i need an exterminator?

And breathhhhhhh..........I have goose pimples writing this!

Hey - leave 'em alone. They eat flies n stuff.

I Have a nice collection of webs in the ceiling corners of my kitchen and round the back door... never have a problem with flies in summer.

They won't bite you, and even if the rarest of rarest did happen and they did bite - they're fangs wouldn't even break the skin.
Maybe a full grown wolf spider's could, but even then it wouldn't do anything - probably not even raise a pimple.
Like most animals, they'll only bite if all other defences have failed - including running away (first choice for them, not you ), raising their front legs aggressively, and for some (mostly tarantualas) rubbing or flicking hairs from their abdomen at you... like small strands of fibreglass - not poisonous but highly irritant. If all that fails they may bite...

... but by that time youll probably have legged it. )

Chances are they were a load of babies just hatched - they'll dissapate and find their own terratories fairly soon.

Spider's are awesome beasties - vital too. Maybe not quite as important as bees, but still, without them we'd be overrun with flies and other nasty disease spreading bugs.

I give you, the woodlouse spider (fangs tough enough to breach woodlice shells - and they can bite people, but aren't venomous enough to do anything to people):
