Default Have you seen this?

Have you seen this on YouTube?

The lad obviously had a big spill & developed an amazing piece of kit so he could still ride...

Amazing (IMHO )

Fair play to the lad ...top bananna

Although if he had another off i would'nt rate his chances as his false arm is clamped to the bike.

A mate of mine lost a leg in a biking accident 11 yrs ago and still rides(zr7),he's waiting for his back brake to be modified with a thumb leaver on his handlebars, dispite his disability, still a top rider and it just goes to show these obstacles can be overcome=D>.

A lot of respect for people who have massive injuries and can still just carry on and learn to function as they would with all their limbs.

if you watch his other video @ track, you can see that he has rip cord attached to his good arm (just like a jetski) in that if he comes off, the cord pulls the quick release on his prosthetic

Cool use of technology, just shows what is possible

But you what to know what is/was truly impressive??? Darrin Sharp, not just rode them, but raced bikes with one arm ... and when I say one arm, I mean one arm, no prosthetic! ...

He is capable of doing a SUB 52 second lap of Brands Indy like that too

To give a frame of reference, most average trackdayers struggle to get below a 1min (60s) lap, even the fastest trackdayers are struggling to do 55s-56s ... !!

He can do a 51.9 with one friggin arm!!

I haven't seen him for a number of years, but when I was despatching I knew a guy who only had one arm, he was as quick a courier as any I've known.
