So, next year, I reach a milestone in the rote of birthday events
![]() ![]() But it would also be a chance to spend another week elsewhere. This second week of exploration would dovetail nicely before the Blackpool bit so logically it would take place somewhere en route to Lancs' finest. The Peak District has crossed my mind but where exactly? I don't want to relocate me, the missus and two kids everyday so we need a good base as it were. I haven't ruled out a week in Wales. My difficulty is in ruling a place in. There's alot of real estate between the River Tamar and the region of the Fylde. ![]() Alternatively I could just stay at home. ![]() The input of the .org would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'll be thinking of something funny to put in the joke thread.

Lake District is nice and would be nearby...... loads of nice places to see, you could stay in Ambleside that`s nice and also central. My friend had the no. for a nice cottage there but not sure what sort of accommodation you`d be wanting. Only problem with Lake District is that the kids (dependant on age) might get a bit bored. There`s a Centre Parcs http://www.centerparcs.co.uk/village...fell/index.jsp which as a family you`d enjoy
