Default honda ca 125 rebel

Right before any one laughs i must say im not paying a penny for this it is completly free from a friend. (i know not much of a friend)

As it says, a friend is going to give me a honda rebel 125. its been in his garage for a while and wondered if i wanted to get it on road and use it to get to school rather than run up miles on the sv.

Has any one on the org ever had one of these? if so what are they like?

many thansk scott.

I bought a CA250 once ... one of them random eBay moments ... I realised it wasn't for me as soon as I collected it ...

If there is one thing sadder than a 'chopper' its a small capacity 'wannabee' chopper

i see both your points, think as im still at school and have no money ill have it. i hate choppers, i rele do but it is free and the sv costs to much to go to school an bk every day.

im finding i spending my weekend preping the bike for the week rather than enjoying the weekends. i can always sell it! and ill pass on the turd thanks!

my 125 was a Honda Rebel...a whole 12.5 bhp built like a bus, manoevered like a bus, and scooters could get to the top of the hill before me...but its hilly round here. It was a lovely bike, really simple to work on. I can't say it let me down after its first hiccup.
I bought it off a guy who'd had it sat in a garage for about 18 months. It needed a good tidy up, and its carbs needed a jolly good clean and the choke freeing up, and after that it were super. It was a lovely blue/green colour which one day I will have a bike sprayed up like, it was that nice. Loads a chrome, and spoke wheels which I hated with a vengeance. Cheap to insure too. My mate said the rear tyre was so fat it made his classic z1000 look like it had poof wheels!!!

IMO if you want it for pootling, its ideal....just don't expect it to go like a rocket...it'll do 70 but anything after the wheels will probably fall off.
And if its frreeeeee..weelll you'd be daft not to give it a go

Not mine as I don't have a pic of it on my laptop, but this one is Identical and in just as good a condition( it could be mistaken for the one I had though), now ya can all see where my OCD polishing comes from

mine was 5 years old and only had 2500 miles on it. I was worried about all sorts when I got it. I thought mine might have been written off, obvious assumption for the time it had been stuck in a garage....but nope, it were fine. Parts for it are dirt cheap too
