Ducati eh? Top marks for the level of self belief this guy must have had when he made this 'replica'! I never knew 2 stickers and an exhaust added so much value...

What I'd like to know is why he describes it as having a 39.4 cu in motor, when saying "it's a 650cc bike" would do. No-one in their right mind is going to bother trying to convert cu in back to cc, so why describe it as such.

It's in the US. They often use cubic inches instead of cc there.

And it was advertised as a 'Tricolor' replica. Surely the tricolor version is just that - THREE colours as in the Italian flag.

Idiot.

'this machine only weighs 371 pounds dry due to the SV starting platform'

...also doubles up as a finishing platform.

But why, the damn thing has 650 down the side of the fairing when it leaves the factory, why convert it to cu in?

I can understand it when they're talking about big V8s - 427 and 454 sound really cool, but not when refering to a Jap bike. I just can't imagine anyone going all misty eyed over numbers like 39.4.

Yanks, I'll never understand them
