Yep, i know how you feel, i used to get them a LOT, now they're not as frequent, but it can be over a week of feeling like carp until it's healed

and no, it's not bad hygeine - 23, never had a filling or any form of remedial dentistry, just checkups once a year, until i was 16 or so when he decided it wasn't worth coming in so often so now it's every two years

speaking to my dentist he did his dissertation on them and tbh. there's not a lot you can do to get them to heal faster aside from scrupulous cleaning, bonjela will ease the pain but i think i've developed a taste and i end up eating it...

I get these, for me its stress related. Get some Adcortyl in orabase from your local chemist. Its about ?4 for a small tube but it is brilliant stuff.

Do it now and you will feel 100 times better by Monday I guarantee.

Cheers

I gave myself one yesurday eating some crisps! I use aloclair. It's a little bit pricey but works better than anything else I've tried.

Eat lots of oranges, the vitamin C is meant to be good for warding them off

i swish my mouth out with corsodyl when i get ulcers, and then keep using it for a few days after.

making up saturated salt solution and applying onto the ulcer with a cotton-bud is painfull, but helps to clear it up too
