Default Finally tracked one of the buggers down - valve adapters!

Brief story: Many moons ago I was checking my tyre pressures, buggering around with a airline that wouldn't fit, and up rolled a fellow biker who gave me a smug smile and promptly produced this tool...

"Want to try this?" he said?
"<mutter mutter mutter> OK then"

**** me it's amazing!

Placing my order now! Well worth imho.

Looks neat, It can be a bit of a faff getting at the valve with the brake disks etc.

I was thinking a similar thing a while back and thought about getting 90 valves fitted at my next time a get new tyres (have to get a new bike first )

Like these from US

Feck are you struggling with 290 disc's? You should try it with 320's from a Gixxer.
Still couldn't be bothered with something that you have to take off every time.

What you need is the right angle valves to be used when you change your tyres - don't know where to find them tho'

edit; thought I'd better check 'pilot's link - not really what I've seen, expensive & probably prefer to change valve with tyre

This is a picture of the disposable 90 degree - don't think it's available though http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk...tRef=MAP506345

I use a 90deg thing on the end of my footpump but I never leave it on the bike anymore. Was advised that having one fitted on a rim that hasn't got the extra supports wasn't a good idea, The extra weight will cause a normal straight valve to flex back and forth (even metal ones, though not that much) and could cause a split, instant tyre deflation

Not a bad idea to carry one in your pocket though if you normally use gas station pumps
