A few of you might remember I got 2 kittens some 8 months ago, sadly PRINTS our black and white cat went missing on Monday. We put leaflets up on lapposts and through our neighbours letter boxes.
Today we got the bad news that Prints had been found by the side of the road by one of our neighbours and he had buried him in a lovey spot in the woods near our house. Our neighbour took us over and showed us where the grave was and he had also planted a new tree to mark the grave as well which was lovely. Mrs DoubleD is really upset and our other cat is crying all the time for his brother. Don't know what else to say really.... thanks for reading. |

Oh No........ am so sorry to hear such sad news. Not just cos i`m a cat lover myself but cos I know how attached we get to our pets no matter what they are. All I can suggest is get another cat of a similar or younger age as soon as poss, go to an animal rescue centre and then Prints death, tho extremely sad, might not have been in vain cos you`ll be giving a good home to an unwanted cat.
I have to add what a fantastic neighbour you have... not many people would have gone to those lengths, thats the sort of neighbours i`d want to live around. Hug to both you and your wife x |

Awww RIP Prints
![]() Non pet owners will probably be thinking "what". It's amazing how pets become part of our family and everyday life, we take them for granted and expect to see them on a daily basis. When they are not there they leave a great big hole and it's horrid. I have lost 2 house rabbits and was gutted and I now have Samson the mad dog. I dread the day we are parted, I hope we got lots of years together. All I can say is big hugs to you and Mrs DoubleD and your other puddy ! And what great neighbours for sparing you the distress and planting a tree the grave.

Ah bad news dude
My cat went missing for a week or two a few years back but came home limping, i know what its like to lose a cat aswell. My cat called Tigger got ripped to pieces by 2 greyhounds and some old lady dived in to save him and took him to the vets but the 2 dogs had done too much damage to the poor cat and IF they could of re-constructed his insides and back end (legs) he wouldn't of walked again or even survived. So we did the right thing and put him to sleep. RIP Prints . |

Sorry to hear this doubled... cats are lovely animals and so caring!!!
I hope you and Mrs DoubleD try and move on from this.... least you know where he is..... rather than just wondering. +1 for going to get to a rescue centre... you can get some really nice animals, that just want a lovely home... which i'm sure you can give them big hugs ![]() |

A nice neighbour you have DD. One of my cats is buried on the moor at the back of my uncles as i had no where to bury him when someone ran him over, and my mums old ginger cat is buried under a ginger rose tree...which I swear is the best one in the garden. Yes we do get attached to our pets, I've had a few cats of my own, and the two I've got at the moment are my babies.
I had a persian blue for a couple of yrs, I rescued her from near death on the streets with a broken pelvis, broken jaw and kidney trouble, that cat repayed me with much love, and when her time came, as she was already old, we buried her in the back gerden here, under a fairy ring in the lawn..........unfortnately no grass now as paving prevailed for bikes...but i know shes there!

Very sad news. I know how you feel, my own cat died just over two weeks ago (11 years old) and the house just seems empty without him. I'll be going to the rescue center sometime soon to pick up another moggie in need of a new home.
RIP Prints. |
