I'm about to fit the new micro full system i got for my sv, and well feels like a real daft question, but ive never done a bike exhaust before,
when ever i've fitted a car exhaust you use paste on the joints, but i've never heard anyone mention this, its no different on a bike is it?? also, with it being a full system, will i need to get the fuelling sorted? and what does this entail? |

The micron doesn't flow too differently to stock. Suck it and see.
Paste isn't entirely necessary unless it leaks. Smear of copperslip on the rear downpipe doesn't hurt, especially with the way the micron system fits. Same on the front so it has a fair chance of being removeable when needed.

A little bit of gasket sealent is a good idea but most bike exhausts are a good fit and don't require any, handy to have just in case though! |

well me and the missus just spent the best part of the last 5 hrs working on the bike, dunno if you remember a post a while back about a underseat cbr600rr exhaust, well i decided to bin it, it was such a kak job, and i wasn't all that fussed on the look of it,
didn't really know how difficult it was gonna be but he weld large parts on the bike, cut the original exhaust to bits, including the rear cylinder stubby, so basically i had to take pretty much everything off, tank, subframe, suspension to name a few, but got there in the end, needs putting back together and i need to go buy a tail tidy tomorrow and redo some of the wiring he mucked about with, i'll get the pics up tomorrow when its done and dusted, and the micron systems sounds lovely with no can on ![]() |
