My bike was last serviced at about 14500-15000 by a dealer. It is now in the region of 18000 so I was wondering if there is anything I should be checking/thinking about before my first track day.
I was thinking of just changing oil and filter, plugs and checking/adjusting chain. The rear brakes were replaced recently when I got some new tyres fitted and as far as I can see the front seem ok at the minute. |

Fresh 5.1 brake fluid is also a good idea as the brakes will take a pounding, also maybe sintered pads on the front as organic pads glaze very quickly on a track day. HTH

You don't NEED new plugs, I'd be tempted to leave them be so as not to generate any potential new problems (you might get a dodgy plug, or knock a connector loose or summin) ... so yeah, oil&filters, adjust and lube chain, check front pads and tyres are good and you are away

Check your brakes, tyres, and chain and make sure all are up to scratch and in tip top condition. An oil change will be good too.

check front pads if thers a bit left on them i would wait 2 after the track day 2 put new ones in! when was the plugs last changed?if they wernt done at the last service then for all the price of them i would stick a set in as if they or one went it will mess your day up.

I would not recommend this at all.
Not for someone's first trackday on a predominantly road bike. Dot 4 will last longer. And probably is in godd enough condition anyway FG1 IF you are going to change pads allow enough mileage before hand to bed in. |

If you need to top up the brake fluid or it is time to change it then put DOT4 in there, and there is no need for sintered pads IMHO, the OEM pads are plenty good enough. |
