Default Boris; he say Yes to bus lanes

Theres a report in this evenings Standard saying Boris is to allow bikers to use bus lanes.

He has oveturned the report that Ken aledgedly had rewritten to make it more 'politically acceptable' before refusing bikers access to bus lanes.

May have to do a bit of a rethink about the blonde haied one?

Any body else got any other news on this?

Horrah for conservatives and common sense.

Has Boris made a poor decision yet? Everything he has done so far I have agreed with. Just wish we had someone like that running the whole country.

TfL does not yet have a timescale for implementing the scheme.
Obviously too busy inventing something to save the world to read the report ?

There's a minority of cyclists bitching about it, but they seem to forget that Boris is a very keen cyclist who's been riding in London for years.

I did tell one Ken canvasser that this was the reason that I wouldn't be voting for Ken again.

Simple answer to the cyclists

"shut the f*** up"

Why do we let untrained, uninsured, unobservant vehicles/people on the road anyway.

They just force buses out of the bus-lanes with being too slow.

Great news.

Doesn't affect me too much, though: I ride into central London along
the A41 and on it motorcyclists are allowed to use the bus lane.
This was an "experiment" introduced by Red Ken, never extended to
other roads despite good results (reduction in overall accident rate and no
negative effect on cyclists).
