Default Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina

Rode the BRP today taking photos & headed home when I ran into lightning/rain storms in Boone, NC. It was too hazy for the overlook views, so did not take many of that type of photos:

Rode north of Blowing Rock yesterday until I ran into the storm. It was too hazy for good overlook shots. Much cooler than riding in the lower elevations and hardly anyone on the Parkway yesterday. Will let you know when I ride the BRP in Virginia!

Thanks,

Lovely bit of the world, I've got mates in chapel hill. Great riding roads in NC and comparatively empty too. Oh and you're only a short trip away from Tail of the Dragon.

Have not been to the Dragon, but have some really good local twistys & sweepers like Rt.80, Rt.226A, and Rt.181 that don't have much traffic on weekdays.

Chapel Hill is about 1 1/2 hour ride from the Parkway.

Have a good one!
