Default Newbe - Hello! & Helibars...

Hello all - first post on this excelent forum, just thought I'd check in!

I recently bought a new SVs (K7) and this weekend have fitted a pair of Helibars as my wrists couldn't take the strain of every day commuting on the standard clip-ons. Anyway, I came across an instilation problem with the bars and wondered whether anyone else had experienced this.
Basically, when the new bars are fitted the new position of the brake/master cylinder means that the brake hose union/banjo bolt fouls the top yoke pinch bolt meaning that there is only one possible position to fit the bars which isn't ideal.
The brake hose union comes vertically out of the master cylinder and you can't rotate it out the way because the master cylinder has a casted bit of metal that positions the union in place (a bit tricky to understand I know).
Anyway, I resolved this issue by hacksawing (yes, I know it sounds scary) the little metal positioning tab off the master cylinder allowing the hose union to be rotated a little to clear the pinch bolt which in turn allows full bar adjustment - job done!
The tab I sawed off is purely used to stop the union moving when tightening the banjo bolt but it also forces the union into a verticle position which is non-adjustable.
Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it without the use of a hacksaw?!!

Thanks in advance for any response - Dave

Just added an image of the 'modified' master cylinder - this allows for union clearance adjustment...
