Hey again
I am doing my first mini service on my sv 650. I change my engine coolant lots of time before on other bikes. I have a quick question about the engine coolant When you change engine coolant by opening the drain bolt etc letting the fluid drain out, moving the bike side to side etc I down all this and put water thru the system a few times. Now my question is when you drain the coolant as above should there be coolant still in the coolant reserve tank which is on the left hand side of the bike. I am a bit worried as i dont want to knacker my bike, any ideas D |

You will probably have to empty the expansion tank separately. You can't really knacker the bike unless there is an airlock in the system but you'll know about that soon enough, the engine will run very hot.
The first time I did it it was a pain but now I know how it would be pretty easy to do again. |
