Hi All!!!
Long time no speak!!! Hope all are well!!! Well, I'm kinda in a dilema. I rode to hastings the other day,and back again on my k7 GSXR 750, By the time I got home, to B.Hill, I was in AGONY!!! And I was deaf. Took it in for its 2nd service today, (only done 1200miles but I like to service yearly, and it's coming up for 2 in august!!), and as a Courtesy bike they gave me a trusty SV650!!!! I was well pleased!! It was comfy and soaked up the crap roads nicely!!! Now, I'm 29, and a hooligan tool like the GSXR should please me no end, and it does for about an hour, but then the pain starts which has promted me to consider a change!!! If I can lay my hands on one should I or should I not change to an SV1000???? I regretted the day my Pointy 650 was sold, and I've enjoyed the "short" rides on my GSXR, but I need more comfort!!!!! Help. |

Keep the Gixer but......
1.) Wear ear plugs. 2.) Get a quieter can. 3.) Get some higher clip ons. 4.) Get a gel seat. |

Ride the GSXR at speeds above 90 mph....my dad dosn't complain when he keeps the speed up, otherwise he moans about his GSXR too...
What aches do you get? Have you tried maybe a taller screen, maybe you can do something to make it a bit more upright? Tried adjusting the levers (they seem at a silly angle on my dads K6 gixxer)? that might help you relax a little bit up your arms and shoulders? Matt |

Hmmm,
The exhaust is a Scorpion, with the Baffle in!! On my SV it was out all the time on my Akropovic, I never suffered with that....but different noise frequency I spose! Haven't adjusted levers, standard seat which is fairly hard. My aches were mainly in my wrists and bum, felt like I'd been kicked up the bum really hard alot!! I try not to rest on my wrists, I try and support myself with my leg and back muscles!! I'm surprised you didn't say get a SV'thou!?!? |

Get some decent ear plugs, custom made if you can afford them. I have a few friends and father with tinnitus, well worth doing all you can to prevent it.

I was off the 'bikes last summer as I had to have an operation on my finger! And BEFORE anyone says it, No, I don't ride my GSXR in the rain!!!!! I do however ride my CR125 (road registered) on the road in the rain!!!!! Because if that gets dirty, I don't worry about cleaning it!!! I was the same with my SV! |
