I think you should stick with the brakes that are on there. Maybe get some good pads (EBC HH pads?) and some braided hoses?

Trust me unless your bike is being ridden by John McGuinness at weekend or you are a really good track rider. You will never come to the point where your sv's brakes arn't good enough. I would just upgrade the hoses to Goodridge or HEL and put on some decent pads i.e EBC HH. make sure you bleed them good and you will notice a 100% improvement.

Or if you really want more powerful brakes pm me about my adapter plates so you can use GSXR brakes on your SV

Does John McGuinness ride slower from Monday to Friday?

Just got mine back from the garage with braided hoses and it's chalk and cheese to the how it went to the garage..

(But: they also did new caliper seal sets all round, new master cylinder, new fluid front and rear and new pads at the back. I'm guessing they all helped the feel, but I know the hoses made all the difference on my Spitfire so I'm guessing they are a lot of the difference noticed)
