It's all part of the fun, bike loaded up with gear, riding to or from a weekend camping. Save the money for a trailer and buy lots of waterproofs

http://cars.lycos.co.uk/cars/specs/D...px?deriv=14851

Max unbraked towing weight = 550kg

I have the two bike trailer from TrailerTek:

http://www.trailertek.com/trailers_motorcycle.php

can't remember how much the trailer weighs, it's stamped on the frame but it's under a tarp in the garden and it's wet out so i'm not going to go look right now, it's something like 2-300kg though, so you ought to be able to get the SV on a single bike trailer and be OK - two bikes would be pushing it

righto, i'm such a nice geezer that i went out to the garden and checked for you

max payload for the two bike trailer = 386kg

gross trailer weight = 500kg

therefore the trailer weighs 114kg, lighter than i thought...

you should be fine, but you'll have to really abuse a 1.4l petrol if there's two SVs on it

everything is bolted, so in theory you could dismantle it but tbh you're better just storing it on it's tail against a wall if you can get it manoeuvred right. it's bigger than you think it's going to be.

you have to collect them, but the trailertek warehouse is a barn in the middle of nowhere near winchester, so not so far from you. i'd recommend them, the trailer is very well built, perfectly balanced so there's no weight on the nose, handles fine up to 80mph+ and once i sort out the ramp when it's stored on the trailer it's silent too, very impressed...

you can get folding or dismantleable trailers, but they look very flimsy tbh, you might be better with a normal one and finding a mate with a garden you can store it in

Pah, Mr Widepants, trailer? towing?

We just rode back to Yorkshire, was just saying we don't really ache much at all. You need to go and milemunch more, then you get oblivious to it.

AND A GEL SEAT and motosliders, to stretch your legs on, for that Harley cruise control look

i might pop up and have a look, i have got room for it outside BTH it will probably get nicked so i'd rather dismantle it into half's then stick it infront of the car in the garage
