Bikesafe 2008

The 2008 dates for Bikesafe are out. For those who don't know about Bikesafe, it's a FREE day of rider training run by Wilts Council and the Police. I know a load of people from Wiltshire Bikers have done Bikesafe before and not only learnt loads but really enjoyed the day. The Police Motorcyclists are great guys and everyone is very friendly...you can't go wrong for the price... :P

I did a BikeSafe with N. Wales group. Very useful and informative. Definitely recommended!

A number of police forces do not run this. My own, Lancashire is a good example of a missed opportunity. Actually if you asked them about bikesafe, they point you at the county council run training scheme that is expensive and unrecognised as an advanced qualification. So it is cheaper to do an IAM or RoSPA course.

They are two day courses and good value

I think IAM/ROSPA is better quality but it takes longer and overall will be more expensive

Done the wilts one last september, top day, great guys and i learnt a lot.

I could do with giving it a go in Wilts.

I missed out on this last year, definitely want to get myself along to one.

wiltshire is a lot closer than i thought (my geography is terrible) - i might have to pop along in the summer, the island doesn't have a bikesafe group either, despite having pretty much the worst motorcycle accident statistics in the UK...

If you do fancy doing one and you want to make a weekend of it then give me a shout and you can doss at mine for the weekend

thanks - i might just take you up on that offer, i was thinking june/july so as to hopefully take advantage of the... erm...
