As it says above. I want to display my nickname on my new lid when I get one. The letters need to be fairly small obviously. If not the letters how about some sticky stuff so I can cut out my own? Also how bad for a helmets integrity are stickers? I read years ago that stickers shouldn't be put on a lid in case the adhesive reacts with the shell material. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me as they're painted.
Thanking you kindly. ![]() |

To be honest, approach one of the custom vinyl sticker makers on eBay, they'll print you a complete phrase or logo for a few quid and you won't have to worry about lining up and spacing and you can still have separate letters and any font/colour. Not sticking things on is a pretty general recommendation and you can still get sent home from a building site if you've got a sticker or even insulation tape on your hard hat, if it's a painted/laquered lid I can't see a little sticker being a problem, there's worse things to worry about on a bike!

hiya teriyakimonkey, this is what I do at work so I could cut you a username decal. The vinyl we use at work is 3 to 5 years semi permanent and certified by our supplier as safe for use on helmets/other sensitive substrates. The 3-5 year bit means it's permanent enough to stick on but if you want to remove it, you can do so without damaging the material it's applied to. What colour & size are you after?

If you were worried about the effect on your lid,y ou could always do it F1/Touring car style and add a name band to the top 1cm of your visor

Well I got me a new lid and I'm gonna display my name on it. Thing is I might be changing it. Mr 6th can you do Japanese characters in case I don't change it? I might just take you up on your very kind offer.
P.S. I won't be changing my name to monkey the 6th though. He he. ![]() |
