Question Are these indicators legal?

I have just wired my fancy indicators in and are up and working. Then someone put a downer saying are they legal so i thought the orgs wonderful pool of knowledge could help me. Are they legal?

Its on a sexy blue curvy (K2) i know it dont make any difference i just like showing her off . Pics below VVVVVV

Sadly illegal, I think they look good on the right bike.

Your supposed to remove the original indicator though, thats the whole point.

Also in certain lighting conditions they are really really difficult to see. I've followed a couple of bikes with those fitted and I didnt realise they were turning right until I was very close to the back of the bike.

Asumming from hovis they are legal it standard are left on

No they are still illegal despite there being proper indies

The Construction and use regulations define the colour of the rear light/brake light red and bright red. a minimum distance between indicators, colour of indicators and flash rate.

simply disconnect the indicator function and you should be OK.
