Have a SV650S K7 ABS that I'm going to fit a carbon leo vince to.
But I need to cut off the OME can, and I'm not sure as to where I have to cut it. Is there a "how to" here? Or should I make one for other stupid people like me. Have tried searching for it. Are there any gaskets that has to be replaced one the OME can is removed and installed again? ![]() |

When I did mine (K3 - Fuel can), I cut 50mm from the weld line on the exhaust - not far from the RH footpeg. Yours might be different tho...
You can get re-connection sleeves to re-connect the OE can - but I would just find a 'friendly' MOT tester ![]() |

One more thing. Do you get the heat sheild on again?
I allways have my heel on the sheild. So with no sheild there I would melt my boot ![]() |

Ah, you have a K7 so I think you'll have a lambda sensor to worry about too. I don't know what the deal is with that but, it's worth finding out about!
