Ebay..... Again

I've brought something off Ebay which i paid for straight away via paypal.... the sellar then contacted me and said that she did want payment via a cheque as she can't use paypal and doesn't know how to get her money out. Why have it as an option i hear you cry.

I sent a message back saying sorry didn't see that in the listing but i can't get my money back from paypal unless you reject it or 30 days expire with it being unclaimed.

Today the item has arrived...... with the money still being unclaimed. So i currently have both the money (sat in ebay unclaimed which if stays like that will bounce back in 25 days to my card) and the item.

I would think Win Win but i don't know what might happen now and i'm a bit worried!

I'd say that was the sellers problem not yours.

What you could do is wait and see if the money bounces back onto your card, if it does then send the seller a cheque for the boots.

She must have set up a paypal account for you to be able to pay her via paypal.

So it's her problem, not yours.

I would contact her say you have recieved the boots, she obviously int trying to rip you off as you have the product. SO try and resolve it, but make it clear she is stupid for putting paypal on there if she cant/wont use it.

Tell her you want to wait for the money to go unclaimed and be returned to you before you write out a cheque.

If she kicks off you could write a post dated cheque for after the paypal situation is resolved one way or the other, then if she does claim the money just cancel the cheque?

Least you have the goods, wait for the money to be returned and send a cheque, more fool the seller for sending the goods LOL. If she opens a dispute just make sure you answer all mails and explain. Ebay can't take any action as it's not your fault.

Ebay is my worst nightmare at the mo, tried to sell a PSP with a £120 buy it now and auction, UK shipment only. German bird bought it on buy it now and asked me to send to Norway I sent 2 emails saying no way was I sending out of UK and with them having zero feedback I wasnt happy.

They ignore my mails and sent me £170 via paypal stating I need to send the item to Norway, email them the tracking number and then paypal would release the £170. SCAM.

They were reported to ebay, no longer a registered user and I am left with the final valuation fee to pay, cost me £12 not to sell my PSP reason I was selling was I urgently needed cash to get my car back on the road .. grrrrr still no cash still sorting the Poo out

I think if you report this last part to ebay and ask them to credit you the final valuation fee, they will do. Don't hold me to that though.

Thats true, and they even send you an email to tell you there will be a credit. then they do nothing. happened to me.
