Default The price of Thunderace parts

After my incident on Thursday I've been watching a few items on eBay to replace the parts that I broke:

Clock surround went for ?110

Top fairing went for ?220

Headlight went for ?100

.......and these prices were for second-hand parts.....

Ah well, down the repair route then!

Clock surrounds are like rocking horse droppings, mine was scuffed down one edge because they sit very close to the outside of the fairing once it's bent in a bit. Top fairings are usually repairable, mine was missing the section from in front of the left mirror all the way back to the end of the screen, I rebuilt it by welding in a section of formed GPZ500 belly pan and then painting it...then dropped it on the other side 3 weeks later and snapped that mirror section off and had to weld that back up too. Luckily the fairing hadn't been painted by then and the left side was still in primer.

My left side fairing ended up with 18" of plastic weld in it, the right side had 28" all told. When it was painted and stickered you couldn't tell. Use Genuine Yamaha stickers if you need any, they are the easily the best quality and work out just as cheap as Ebay ones.
