Fixed Penalty Turnaround time

Hi,

I just posted my licence etc today and have a bikesafe day on 16th Aug.

Does anyone know how long (on average) it takes to get the licence back with points and all? (is a credit card payment, so no waiting for cheques to clear etc).

The met police website says up to 6 weeks- surely it must be quicker than that?

PM shellywoozle see if she knows.

Dunno what the average is, but mine was just under 2 weeks, IIRC.

Why not call the bike safe team and explain the situation I'm sure it won't be a problem....you don't know until you ask, but I can't say what the outcome will be.

The turnaround is down to the DVLA, they have a single collective brain cell so who knows!

Cheers- I've emailed the organiser to find out what can be done.

I was going to ask if they'd treat a baffle-less exhaust as not road safe, but I guess I'll just take the baffle with me, just in case.

They don't mind really my baffle is some where for my end can I have never put it! Really just relax and enjoy (cops do have a have sense of humour) and get there to get what you want out of it, lets know how enjoy and get on when you have done it!

i did bike safe in north yorks with a very loud exhaust, , they were ok about it, if it takes the **** then theyll not be too happy , but there not down on baffleless just for the sake of it

Well- after Bikesafe saying they could do a search on the licence, it turned up this morning.

So- posted on 24th, back on 2nd. That's about 10 days. Marvellous.

Cheers for the advice on the 'exaust- I'll probably pack the baffle in my rucksack with my lunch anyway- good to be prepared.. I just need to remember not to eat the baffle...
