The £15 Argos one is great IMO. I have a top of the line £75 one too, which has only been used once. Argos one squashes down small so it's easy to take with you, is cheap if it blows away/is nicked. Fits the SV like a glove, it's not 100% waterproof, but vastly better than not having one. It dries comparatively quickly when it gets wet. The bag it comes in comes with hoops so you can attach it to your pillion seat via the helmet hooks and carry it like a tailpack or lash it to other luggage easily. It can be put on whilst the exhaust is still hot without melting. It's generic and cheap looking so IMO makes the bike a bit less nickable than if it's under, say, an oxford stormex. The list goes on!

The oxford stormex can be had for 40 or 50 quid online and is excellent. Also heard good things about Helds top of the range cover.

I got my Stormex from J&S and they price matched the online price for me! Getting the Held for my second sv just to see what the difference is!

I'll second what Ceri says about the Argos one. It's really good value for money and works well. Unlike other covers I've owned it doesn't blow away or melt on the exhaust. Water just runs off it too. I though that it might be a bit crap, given that it's so cheap, but it's actually really good.

i picked up an oxford one for £28 that is water proof and will fold back into a relatively small bag that it came with. its 100% waterproof. got it from getgeared.com i think. i would recommend it.

Ive had the argos one and now have an oxford rainex....

the argos one was OK...not great....leaks water a bit and condemsation..but as pointed out if u cover it say when ur at work (which is what i now use the argos one for) its so small so makes sense.

If the cover is for home use only id highly recommend either an oxford rainex or an oxford stormex...both fantastic...have soft inners to protect the bike from scratches and 100 percent waterproof.....can be found cheap to at right place;s...busters.com / M&P/fleabay etc...
