Default HPi Checks - Any good places?

Evening all - I have a couple of potential bikes I am looking at and obviously would like to get them HPI'd first, so where is the best place? Unless there are any police on here who wish to use PNC to check?

Both bikes are a steal which immediately sets alarm bells ringing, if it sounds too good to be ture and all that.....

They are both CBR-600rr's and both £4500.

Bike 1 - 07 reg 5800 miles. 1 owner, who has moved abroard, however I have spoken to him via e-mail at his work address, all of which checks out. Spoken to supplying dealer to confirm the bike is what it says and was bought when he said. Based in Newcastle so a right trek from here.

Bike 2 - 57 Reg 4000 Miles. Bloke has just bought it off of its first owner and drove it from Southampton to Hereford, but has found that being 6'2" and 17 stone the bike is too small for him, so is selling on to buy an R1, has had it serviced and a new tyre too. V5 has been sent away by him so is not present. I have the VIN number etc. Sounds genuine enough but is a long way from home too!

Is there anything I could be doing more to resolve these issues?

Should I just walk away from both, or act quick before someone else checks in?

Both are about the same time/cost from home by train.

I wouldn't touch a bike unless I was talking to the owner face to face. IMO wait for something closer to home... if it sounds too good etc etc

P.s buy a propa bike

I loved the test drive of the RR, I just need to get an SS600 out of my system.

Yep - If the alarm bells are enough to make me post then I should just walk away.

I wouldn't be walking HPI them, ask the owners for both reg & chassis numbers (I believe you can use them in some way with the HPI), just be very very careful and make sure absolutely everything adds up when you arrive to pick up the new toy
